Oil Minister Ismail Sharif had met with the executive leadership of International
Pipe Industry Company (IPIC) to discuss the company’s situation and develop appropriate cooperation between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and IPIC
He was welcomed by Chairman, Eng. Ihab Shafiq Vice Chairman and Managing Director and Heads of various departments of the company.
The Minister had listened vigilantly a detailed presentation on the company’s activity, production levels and achievements which have accomplished during last few years.
He also surveyed mills of pipeline and bends and praised the modern and remarkable technologies of the factory.
IPIC was one of the scheduled companies to be visited by the Sudanese group which visited Egypt on 15.9.03 .IPIC was chosen as it stands a discriminated company in the petroleum sector and is specialized in the production of pipes. On 16.09.2003 some members of the Sudanese group visited IPIC Company .After that IPIC activities was presented in the meeting which was held which in it Eng. Mohamed Ayad –IPIC CEO- stated that IPIC is a joint- stock company between Kuwait and Egypt and is specialized in the production of pipes used for both Petrol and gas.
On the period between 28/5/2004 and 30/5/2004 a group of South East Asian Ambassadors and their wives visit Egypt, IPIC was nominated to be one of the good reputable companies in the Egyptian petroleum sector and so it was scheduled that the group would visit it on 29/5/2004.During the visit the groups’ members got an overview about the company, its activity and technology used in manufacturing pipes according to the international specifications. In addition to that they made a plant tour to watch out every stage of the production process. The visitors expressed their admiration of the technology used in manufacturing and the healthy atmosphere of the whole plant.
On Thursday 8.4.04 Dr. Mohamed El Ghmrawi visits IPIC accompanied by delegation of General Investment Authority. IPIC’s team presents a show that demonstrates the main features of the company ” capital,
production volume, projects,…etc.”. After that Dr. El Ghmrawi visits the plant accompanied by Eng. Mohamed Ayad-IPIC CEO- and number of IPIC’s leaders where he gets a display of IPIC’s techniques and machinery system
One of the noticeable activities for the Industry&Energy Committee of People’s Assembly are the scheduled visits they pay all over Egypt. One of these visit takes place in the period between 30/6/2004 till 3/7/2004 which aim to be in the petroleum companies that are in Rashid and Port Said. Undoubtedly, IPIC is one of the companies which is of interest for any visits of such a purpose.
On Thursday 1/7/2004 the committee arrives IPIC ,Eng. Mohamed Ayad displays an overall show for the companies achievements through the pervious period. After that the visit’s members take a tour in the plant to be aware of the latest technologies used in IPIC, Eng. Mohamed Ayad highlights that IPIC is part of the Egyptian Consortium that carry out the Arabic Line project to transfer gas between Egypt & Jordan. The visit was one of the topics Egyptian newspapers comment.
On Wednesday 23.11.05 ADCO (Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations) has visited IPIC to make an authentic evaluation for IPIC as a pre- step for IPIC to be added to ADCO vendor list . ADCO operates onshore and in shallow coastal water of the Emirates of Abu Dhabi.
Eng. Mohamed Kassem – NOSPCO chairman- has visited IPIC on Tuesday 29.11.05 to follow up ONS ( Offshore North Sinai) Project which IPIC executes for NOSPCO.
Marubini – Itochu Steel Inc. is one of the companies that becomes keen to open co-operation channels with IPIC.
Marubeni supplies steel tubulars to customers in gas& oil industry.
During their last visit to IPIC they were touched by IPIC as a leading organization in pipe industry. Mr. Teruo Kowaguchi – Marubeni- Itochu managing director- has expressed his gratitude to Eng. Mohamed Ayad – IPIC CEO- in his email which says, “I express my sincere gratitude to you for your people’s hospitality and sparing your time to meet with us during our visit to your plant. I was real impressed with the plant as well as your management in addition to a very good location facing The Mediterranean. We would like to look for working together closely for various important business opportunities. we are hoping your company continue to grow.”

In the course of reinforcing IPIC position in international market, IPIC seeks being a registered company in SAUDI ARAMCO vendor list.
On 11th March 2006 a delegation from ARAMCO visits IPIC and for 3 days which is the period ARAMCO spends for performing a whole assessment for IPIC.
The assessment involves all IPIC applicable systems as its production technologies, quality assurance policy, IPIC Compatibility with
international standards, documentation system and customer satisfaction procedures.
At the end of the visit a meeting has been held to overview all notes from ARAMCO delegation to be considered by IPIC throughout its trend to be a registered in SAUDI ARAMCO vendor list.
Tuesday 14.11.2006 was the day defined for Mr. Loay El Khorafi’s visit to IPIC plant. During the visit -which takes many hours – Mr. Loay – accompanied by Eng. Mohamed Ayad – got a tour at pipes plant as well as bends one. Mr. Loay expresses his praise for the work rhythm inside the plant. Consequently, a meeting was held by Mr. Loay that had been attended by Eng. Mohamed Ayad and all departments’ managers to discuss IPIC progress in the international market as well as the challenges that may face the company during the next phase. At the end Mr. Loay assures IPIC policy of customer satisfactions as well as the company’s continuous adoption of high production level.
